My treasure

 I introduce my treasures. My treasures are my flute and my Kimono.
 One of my treasures is my flute. The flute is a musical instrument and it is a kind of the woodwind instrument. I began to play it when I was 9 years old. Then, I joined  the brass-band at  my elementary school. When I began to play, I have played the piano. My mother has played the piano and cello, and she told me that playing the piano was her great experience. So, I wanted to play the instrument, and join the club. When I was in the sixth grade of elementary school, I wanted to get my own flute. My grandmother on my mother’s side gave me a flute. I became to like classic music because I joined the club. I had been in brass-band until I was a junior high school student. I have used it for 10 years, and sometimes I still play and practice. My flute is old, but it makes me happy and I want to play it forever.
 Another of my treasures is my Kimono. I like kimono and my mother has some kimono. I wanted to wear my mother’s kimono in my coming of age celebration. But she is smaller than me, so I can't wear it. It was so bad; I thought I could wear it in coming of age celebration. My parents gave me new kimono to wear for the day. However, I couldn’t go to the place of the coming-of-age ceremony, because of I had an illness. 2 months later after that day, I wore it and took pictures with my family at a photo studio and a Shinto shrine in Amakusa-city. It was a bad memory, but the Kimono is my treasure. Though my younger sisters do not wear it, I hope that I can wear it sometime again.
 Kimono and flute is my important things and they make me happy.

My Hobbies

 My hobbies are reading books, playing the piano, violin and flute and watching movies. I especially like to play the flute. I often practice to play it at the Toroku park. I began it when I was 9 years old. Then, I joined in brass band at my elementary school. I don't join in a musical group, but I like to play and music.

My favorite classical music

My favorite classical music is "Salut d'amour op.12".I introduced Sir Edward William Elgar, He composed it. It is played with violin, piano and so on. I can play it with flute and piano, I practice to play it with violin. He finished the piece in 1888, when he was engaged to be married to Caroline Alice Roberts. The first editions were for violin and piano, piano solo, cello and piano, and for small orchestra. It is sweet and elegant music, We can feel happiness. I want to know his composed music deeply, and play. I want to interest in any other classical music what is I don't know, and I want to increase the repertories of the performance.

BR 1-06: Shin and the Magic Lion

Shin was taking a walk one day when he saw a lion watering its own head.


I and cousins went to the library and I found this work. This story is a work of Japanese translated into English. It is a work for children. Shin went up the mountain, but it is a mysterious contents met a lion, surprised to see that the lion is going to deform. This story is so funny, shin and lion's conversation is good and funny. Lion is exchanging anything.

BR 1-05: Harry Potter and the Chamber Of Secrets

Not for the first time, an argument had broken out over breakfast at number four, Privet Drive.


Harry is this book's hero. This is second volume of this series. The state of the fight against nemesis and second year witch is written. In this work, using the magic of being in a diary is my memory of that one time nemesis and let beleaguered nemesis once again Harry. It is written mainly to resist what he is doing what nemesis. I read second volume when I was 14. English teacher gave me it. I read the book in English and Japanese at the same time. This story is written for children, so it is easy. Sometimes, I used dictionary to read difficult wards. Now, I can read it
without dictionary. I'd recommend that read in English for sisters.

Harry is this book's hero. This is first volume of this series. Appearance of one year from the admission to the school and his magic until the witch has been written. To fight and be a hero when he beat a person who is afraid of everyone, in order to protect from villain the Sorcerer's Stone has been written. I think Harry Potter series is everyone knows, and some people have read. I began to read this series, when I was in sixth grade. Since I had never seen this only in Japanese, the first I've read in Japanese. Film adaptation of the series is just beginning at that time, I've read before watching a movie. So many Japanese difficult for me at the time, so it is very difficult to read. I got started reading the first volume that English teacher gave me when I went on to secondary school. I had better English than Japanese is also very easy to read.

I read and bought it in 2007 in Singapore when I was waited Airplane from Singapore to Melboune. I didn't know Marian Keyes, but this book was No.1 book then. I don't understand knowingly. This book is so difficult for me, but it is well worth reading. The constitution of the book is interesting, but is very long.

This story, Hamlet is at the mercy of ghosts, they have written a lot of human emotions such as hatred, is said to be Shakespeare's four great tragedies. When I first read it, not understand the meaning at all. I think it is difficult to understand everything, but I want to read it once for everyone.

I read "Romeo and Juliet". I love Shakespeare's Stories, and I especially like "Romeo and Juliet". This story is very famous all over the world and tragedy.

Two families are battled in Verona. They were repeating the contention blood washed in the blood. At the beginning, Romeo loved another girl, but He met Juliet, falls in love with two people at once. The couple under the monks Lawrence secretly married. Lawrence look forward to beating the marriage is to put an end to fight over the two families. But immediately after the marriage Romeo is rolled in a street fight, kill nephew Capulet Mrs. Thibert to avenge killed buddy and Mercutio. Grand Duchy of Verona escalates, Romeo to somebody in the sins of the expulsion. On the other hand, Capulet is ordered me grief to Juliet to marry Paris Grand Duchy of relatives and. Planning scheme using the apparent death of poison her to marry Romeo, Juliet sought help Lawrence. I like the story, because this is very pure of love. I want that many people read this story.

 I was absent from this class at the first class. I have some classes in spring semester. I take classes such as Japan and the international community, English Grammar. I have to take many class because unit shortage. I will study hard, but I want to take a lot of units.

A place I’d like to visit

I’d like to visit Europe such as Italy, France, England. I want to visit some historic building such as Stonehenge, Leaning Tower of Pisa, Colosseum, Triumphal arch. I like to study history and especially like world history about Italy, France and England. I have not been there, but my friend went there. She said there had been so good place to study something. I heard it words, I wanted to go there more. I certainly go there someday and want to learn a lot.

A visit to a relative’s house

I visited to my grandmother’s on my mother’s side house. I often visit her house. She lives alone in Akune-city, Kagoshima. My mother is an only child and she was divorced at 1970. Last December, I went there with my family. She looked happiness. I like to go her house, because I and she are same character. My family came back to Amakusa at 30th, but I and my dog stayed there until January 6th. It was sorry to part from her, but I want to go immediately again.

My family

I introduce my families who are living at my hometown house. I am living at there with my grandparents in my father’s side, my parents and two younger sisters. My grandfather’s name is Tadatoshi, grandmother’s name is Tsuneko, father’s name is Tadahiro, mother’s name is Yukari and younger sisters whose names are Maria and Erisa. My grandparents are Farmer, They have made some kinds of orange, vegetables and rice. My father works at post office. He is a postmaster at post office in Shimago, Amakusa. My mother works at a hospital of the obstetrics and gynecology department. She worked at a nursery school and a city hall in Akune-city, Kagoshima. My young sisters are a nursing student and a student of high school. Maria and Erisa are second grader of these. My grandparents are so gentle for me, but sometimes grandmother is nagging to me. My father every time is nagging for me. He is more nagging to me than to my younger sisters. I hate this, but I got used.

Advice to my kohai about writing class

 I can not advise you, because I did not have good attendance and did not get a credit. However, I can tell you 2 points that are important.

 One piece of advice is you will write many essays and use many words. You will write essays of different kinds such as diary, movies and hobbies. I think a diary is just writing what you met on that day and you should write about movies in the same way as any book review or review of  a Japanese movies or a foreign films, and a post about a hobby is where you write what you want to teach to a friend. I think that essays and book reviews are difficult, but you will get over it in this class, and your the power of expression of the English sentence will spread, and I think that you are good in your future life. We will try hard to get 10000 words if we can do that, we will receive an credit.

 Another piece of advice is you should attend class. You should go there everytime. It is important to take class. I didn't do that, because I suffered from depression. Sometimes you may want to be absent from class, but you should try to come.

 I can advise you about these 2 points, but these are very importantwhen you take writing class. I cannot suggest anything else, but please understand these two points. You will become used to writing longer sentences little by little and, I will hope that you will be able to write many sentences in the latter half. You will ask a teacher and other person around you to help you understand, and please ask if you do not understand. I think that everybody is tender and teaches well. Let's do our best as much as possible without overdoing it. Take it easy and I hope you will enjoy this class.
